Or am I just misremembering the one time I didn't realise I didn't actually buy something for a few minutes? I remember getting a 15-point instead of a 20-point... I haven't been able to replicate this (though I haven't been trying very hard!) so I'm just wondering if I'm misremembering or if it did actually happen.
He used to give out less tokens if you were slower, for sure. I suppose they could have changed that recently, but I wouldn't know because I haven't been around much. In either case, you definitely aren't misremembering!
It's definitely still happening. The other day I was slow at one quest and only got a 15 point token.
Haha, yeah, checking that is something I wouldn't want to do either^^
There was a change...oh...I want to say a few months ago but it's probably more like a year, haha, where the length of time it takes to get a lesser reward was extended.
It used to be that if you didn't get his stuff within something like 30 seconds or so, we'd get the 15 token instead of the 20. Now he allows more like a few minutes before that happens. So there's that?
You're probably right, it was probably more like a minute and a half, but it always felt like thirty seconds to me! xD
Subeta used to do user meetups, and told me at one of those that all quests are intended to give better awards if you complete them sooner. IMO the Old Wizard quests are the ones where I really notice it.
I found out after an unexpected phone call that I needed to field in mid-quest, Allard will give you a five point token if you're very late, and no sP with it at all. I have also found that each quest grantor also has an "I'm disappointed in you" message if you take longer than a half hour. Since nobody really wants to encounter these, maybe someone could Copy these and paste them into the Wiki.
